The quintessential perfume for those in their youth, who new not what, perfume was, or what, information technology was supposed to be. Everyone wore this, in my high school. It was cheap. Information technology was everywhere. It was "rubber". No overt sexuality in its flowers. Nothing screamed, slut! If one tin detect a vintage bottle, then I suggest you experience information technology. It was a sign of the times. Innocence in a pinkish-capped canteen. It was so popular, it was one of the almost shop-lifted items, of that era (at to the lowest degree in my 'burg). Zippo most it, IMO, resembled infants or babies. It had an added "oomph". Subtle, come up-hither accord, mixed with the berry lip glosses of that era, made for some sexual tension in many a auto's backseat...

Ane cannot review this odor every bit one would a Guerlain or gauge it by those standards. As a unproblematic scent, aimed at teen-aged girls of the 1970s, it is quite pleasant, soft and powdery, as others on this site state, simply not cheap smelling, acrid or over the top.

One would have wished a not so twee packaging design, every bit this is perfectly wearable equally an after bathroom or shower splash for either sex. What information technology smells above all else is "make clean."
Fresh and clean and powdery - what could exist wrong.

Barbara Herman talks of its fougere heart. The vanilla, musk, heliotrope and syringa give it that lovely mimosa-like elevator, the lavender and lilac ground it. Very nice.

Top notes: Syringa, Lemon, Lavander, Rosewood
Heart notes: Heliotrope, Lilac, Rose, Muguet, Orchid, Carnation
Base notes: Vanilla, Benzoin, Musk

Sugariness powder Bought this a couple of years ago on a nostalgic whim, and haven't used it upwardly yet (that'south a long time for me). This smells similar a sweeter, stronger version of Johnson's Baby Powder. Very fresh, sweeeeet powder. The sugariness has a candy edge that prevents me (I am in my mid 30s) from wearing this in public; it might seem a bit cool. I like it as a bedtime aroma; it's non potent enough to proceed me awake, and the powder is calming. There is supposed to be some patchouli in hither, merely I can't find information technology. Bang-up cologne if it'south your thing, but it'southward definitely not my favorite! Now that the racy ads are a affair of the by, I would experience okay about giving this to a very young daughter. Babe Soft has a (fairly) new Jasmine odor that I like a lot better than this; the jasmine is nice with Babe Soft's trademark powderiness. For reference, I live in the deep south, so the heat and humidity amplify all scents, especially sweetness ones. Those in cooler areas might more hands get away with wearing this in public.Pros: Inexpensive, easy to findCons: Hard to wear after a certain age"

Just like mode, what goes around, comes around!
And then, I was thrilled to run across 'Beloved'south Babe Soft' back on the shelf! This is one powdery fresh body spray (no, information technology'south really not a cologne or perfume) that takes me back to my senior year of high school (1974- when it first came out)...Nothing but good things happened when I wore it, or information technology'southward 'sister' spray 'Love's Fresh Lemon'!
At present, there is a Love's Babe Soft Shower Launder that is out and that is lovely, simply I'thou notwithstanding wanting the Love's Fresh Lemon!! Any idea where to find information technology?

I still have a small bottle for memories sake. I enjoyed this as a very young kid and I find the smell comforting. Sometimes I will wear it around the house or spray it on my pillow earlier going to bed.

I don't know why, just I love Love'due south Baby Soft. No, wait a 2nd. I do know why. Considering it's delightful! Most of the reviewers here seem embarrassed by their admission of liking this one. Yes, it was marketed to young women (actually young) in the 1970'due south and was wildly popular with the jr. high set. Simply, different other inexpensive "drug store" fragrance concoctions, Love's Baby Soft never smelled cheap. That information technology'southward still floating around out there is a testament to its universal entreatment: talcum powder, babies, sweetness, innocence, spring flowers and lite-heartedness. What's wrong with that? Unfortunately nosotros become brainwashed by marketing (especially with perfume) that a smell is only meant for a certain demographic. I say, Balderdash! I'm wearing it right now, and I'm a grown human! Absolutely an audacious one. If yous took this juice and put it in a sleek canteen and put a designer's name on it, I bet information technology would exist a huge seller. So forget about the '70's...tell people when they ask that you had information technology "custom blended". Or if they say..."Is that Dear's Baby Soft?" say, "You tin can try hard, or you tin try soft...soft volition become 'em every time."
Curious about the bodily note pyramid...does anyone know?
P.S. For a guy, if you can get past the processed pinkish packaging and juice color; this is one of the near baber-store (in a great mode) frags on the market. Believe it or not!

I have e'er loved the soft, gentle, feminine allure of dearest's babe soft. I am very sensitive to a lot of perfumes and I used to wearable this in high school and even as a young adult. I would yet wear it now and information technology wouldn't bother me one bit. My hubby likes information technology as well.

This is i of my favorite fragrances of all. I've been wearing it since loftier school and I'm thirty at present, still get compliments and asked what I'm wearing. Infant Soft blows Pink Sugar out of the water and is sweet but not nearly as overpowering as PS, plus it'due south about $30 cheaper. Men love it too.

I love Love's Baby Soft! It reminds me of when I was a pre-teen. I see it at the drugstores and I always accept to finish to smell it. I was in the dollar store tonight after work and in that location information technology was, a tiny bottle of it. For a dollar - I couldn't resist. I'll probably go back & get a few more bottles & requite ane to my sister she'll appreciate the nostalgia. It'south a very young scent, recollect cotton candy meets baby pulverisation merely it is light, non sickeningly sweet like Aquolina Pink Sugar. This fits best for a pre-teen or peradventure a nostalgic adult.

Love's Babe Soft is fun, elementary, pretty and a big deal. Anyone who doesn't come across the beauty in this one has no sense of humour...When I was 10, LBS set me on the path to all my favorite powders that are leagues more sophisticated. LBS is bully for what it is.

Simple, bones, and completely bland...I never would have chosen information technology for myself, even at xiii...and, yet, I owned at least 20 bottles, because apparently there was some secret law in the early 1980's that said you had to give your babysitter a bottle of Honey's Infant Soft every Christmas. A elementary, baby powder fragrance that is suitable for a tween's starting time scent, just not much else.

Certainly not for anyone over the age of 13, simply Love's Baby Soft sure is nice. I admit it. I own a bottle. But merely to wear effectually the firm and use equally air freshener. Its soft powdery scent is a pleasant trip down memory lane. It really is a shame that it was worn alongside crimped hair, acid washed jeans, and LA gear sneakers, just at the time they were equally fashionable as information technology is. The departure is they went out of style and Baby Soft did not. Good for a cornball romp; but don't article of clothing information technology out of the house. Fortunately, it'southward price allows yous to be so frivolous in its use.

I got a whole pack of mini "love" perfumes from my aunt, who had been a teenage daughter during the elevation of it'southward popularity, when I was well-nigh 12. From the mode she fawned over information technology, I could tell she had been a fan. I wasn't quite then enthused. I recall my upbringing ruined me for these - my female parent patronized Chanel and Geurlain and I grew up in a fog of No. five and Champs-Elysses. "Baby soft" is certainly pleasant enough but fifty-fifty in the 7th grade idea It smelled basically of the baby powder my Dad put in his socks.I even so have some of these samples, but I don't often wearable them. I use them generally to freshen upwardly my bathroom - which smells smashing. :)

I dearest this fragrance! It is calorie-free & airy which is perfect for warm atmospheric condition. I never wore it every bit a young daughter just later hearing so much hype about it from then many I people decided to go out and purchase a bottle. I chose the body mist instead of the body spray and roughshod in honey with Love.

Ugh. I hated this 1, probably because it was foisted on me by my truly "wicked" stepmother, and even at the age of 9 or 10 when I received it, it smelled "babyish" to me. I wasn't allowed to pick my ain scent, probably because I might cull something with some personality. This is baby pulverisation in a spray canteen, folks, and that'due south about it. There's no depth, no drydown, nothing. Even kids deserve better.

Okay, first, the other Dear versions stank. The original is the all-time, even though it smells a fleck phony like to me. Information technology'due south soft and dries to a powder, like babe pulverisation! Duh! Wow! I mean, really, I'd only rather go out and purchase the lotion and powder instead! Cipher exciting here. But, good for the piffling girls and preteens.

As cheap and pretty every bit it is, I run into why information technology used to exist so popular amid the teenaged girls in the USA: sweet cotton wool processed with a touch of strawberries and weighless musk. It does not final long at all, only what a sweet half 60 minutes it is when one is going to sleep in a sheer veil of Love'southward Baby Soft!

Whenever I see colognes marketed for 13-20 year onetime girls, I call back almost Dear'south Baby Soft. When I was 16 years sometime, this scent came out and I searched vigorously till I was able to find a bottle. Like others take remarked, about Dear'southward other scents, a few years later I moved on to "Eau de Love" which was a really swell scent as well. Now that Baby Soft is dorsum, it's a lilliputian different, but even so very nice. Dandy for the summertime or when you want to feel young again. All I know is, the infinitesimal I sprayed it on, I was dorsum in high schoolhouse and memories of high school are always welcome in my listen.

My beginning cologne! Brings dorsum not bad memories. Such a nice, powdery girly smell. This goes right along with "Gee Your Pilus Smells Terrific"!

In inferior high I got the 5-scent set, I call up I can even remember them--baby soft, lemon, jasmine, gentle must, and pelting! Infant soft was definitely the one my sister'southward and I used the most. Just so comforting, and fifty-fifty now, not having smelt it in years, information technology comes right dorsum to heed. Ah..

At the tender age of 12, this was my first fragrance purchase. All my own! My girlfriends were given Avon'south Sugariness Honesty by their sisters, mothers, aunts and what have you...only I never liked the aroma of that one. Love's Infant Soft ended up scenting my dresser drawer liners, stationary, and anything else I could 'marker' with 'my scent'! Afterward this 1, I graduated to Love's Fresh Lemon and and then to Heaven Sent. Each has truly claimed a identify within me and I'k instantly transported there again and again by a mere whiff!

Okay, this has got to be the number one or number two nostalgia scent for those of u.s. who attended junior or high school back in the Seventies/early Eighties. Sweetness, soft, soothing with a odor somewhere in between baby pulverization and infant oil; all I have to exercise is shut my eyes and think about how information technology smells, without even really smelling information technology, and those memories simply come flooding back! Sadly, it's been reformulated of late and is not as pretty equally it used to be; it's a bit sharper at present and more babe shampooey than anything else, which is still squeamish but non quite as gentle as information technology once was. (On the upside, the "new" Honey's Baby Soft spray bottle is easier to wield than I recall the onetime splash manner canteen being. Or was information technology Love'south Fresh Lemon - some other one of my very, very nascient fragrant loves, that came in the splash bottle?) Despite the changes, I keep to habiliment it from time to fourth dimension, and still like it quite well for what it is - simple and easy, perpetually immature and a whole generation'due south thought of what a certain time of life smelled similar.
